Most Interesting Gala Events in Atlanta this Spring 2026

Here are the four most interesting formal balls in Atlanta, this spring of 2026. Their causes range from services to those with special needs, to patronizing the arts, to preserving history, to conservation efforts… and if those causes weren’t reason enough, all these Atlanta events look like amazing parties. I’ve listed them in order of occurrence, so here’s your schedule!

ENZO's Oscars Viewing Party (in Trilith)

benefiting Two Sparrows Village and Variety – the Children’s Charity of Georgia

Sunday, March 15 6PM at GTC Trilith Cinema

The Causes

Two Sparrows Village is a nonprofit organization where adults with disabilities can achieve independence and community. According to their website, 90% of adults with disabilities live at home with aging parents who are sometimes unable to adequately care for them, and Two Sparrows Village provides both day and residential programming for people with special needs who have aged out of the school system.

Variety – the Children’s Charity of Georgia is a nonprofit organization that provides children with disabilities a similar community. Their mission is to provide opportunities for special-needs children to increase their independence, freedom, self esteem , and mobility.

The Event

I’ll say this in the kindest way possible: if you catch me outside the perimeter, I’m either under duress, or the reason is very special. When I attended ENZO’s Oscars Viewing Party last year, it was definitely the latter—it was so special that I’m planning to go again.

Seriously, this Oscars Viewing Party was one of the best events I attended in 2025. This year, it’s located in the new GTC Trilith Cinema, but the food is still provided by ENZO ITL… and I can’t oversell how delicious that is. Last year, there were not only seven courses and two drink tickets included, but midway through the ceremony, we were served popcorn out of a wheel of parmesan!

You can secure your tickets to ENZO’S Oscars Viewing Party here.

The Annual String Fling

Benefiting the Center for Puppetry Arts

Saturday, March 21 at Guardian Works

The Cause

If you’re interested in patronizing the arts, this one is for you. The Center for Puppetry Arts has been an Atlanta staple for 47 years. It not only houses two permanent galleries of puppets (the Global Collection and the Jim Henson Collection), but it also has 3-4 rotating exhibits and pop-up displays every year. The nonprofit organization also produces 500 fully-staged puppetry performances per year—and they’re not all for children. Tesla vs. Edison is one of the most unique stage shows I’ve ever seen live, and The Ghastly Dreadfuls is a Halloween tradition for my spouse and me.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg on the offerings at the Center for Puppetry Arts, and you can view their full programming at their website here.

The Event

The String Fling is the annual fundraiser for the Center for Puppetry Arts, and this year, the theme is the “Spark of Imagination.” The idea is to “celebrate the initial idea, doodle, sketch, or conversation that gets the creative idea flowing.” The attire is “creative cocktail,” fancy, and on the theme—anything with a “spark.” (I also really appreciate that in their dress code, they specify that when choosing your shoes, remember the floor is concrete. Thank you!)

I should also mention that guests will be fed with decadent spreads, and there is an open bar. Plus, the main programming centers around Julio Torres, the celebrity guest who will present on experimental expression that honors the roots of puppetry.

You can secure your tickets to the String Fling on World Puppetry Day, here.

The Bonus Event (subheading)

But even if you can’t attend for whatever reason (like, maybe you don’t live in Atlanta or will be out of town the day of the String Fling), you can still support the Center for Puppetry Arts through their online auction! There are some great returning pries like an exclusive tour with Cheryl Henson, a VIP photo shoot on the set of the Rankin Bass Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer™. There are new offerings like the Private Painting Party for 6 with David Arquette in Nashville. And there are some awesome collectibles up for auction as well! And it all benefits the arts!

The Swan House Ball, 100th Centennial

Benefiting the Atlanta History Center

Saturday, April 25, 2026

The Cause

The Atlanta History Center started in 1926 as a small, “archival-focused historical society.” In their 100 years as a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and studying Atlanta’s history, it grew to encompass 33 acres, 4 historic houses, and a variety of temporary exhibitions and programming. The Atlanta History Center not only offers their Museum, but it also includes community events like their annual Juneteenth and MLK Day celebrations at no cost of attendance. The Swan House is one of the buildings that embodies Atlanta’s history, and it’s the site of this annual fundraiser.

 The Event

The Swan House Ball started in 1986 as a means of raising funds to support the annual operations and increasing educational programming, plus maintaining the (then only proposed) museum. Nearly four decades later, it’s still a fun night of fashionable fellowship among some of Atlanta’s most dedicated leaders.

You can buy your tickets to the Swan House Ball here.

Even if you’re not able to attend the Swan House Ball, you should at least check out the photos of previous balls and their themes from the Atlanta History Center’s archives here.

The Beastly Feast Gala

Benefiting Zoo Atlanta

Saturday, May 2, 2026, 8PM

The Cause

Image from Zoo Atlanta

Zoo Atlanta actually opened its doors in 1889—that’s EIGHTEEN-89, y’all!—when a traveling show went bankrupt near Atlanta and just… stayed. Zoo Atlanta’s mission has changed drastically since those Victorian origins, and they prioritize transparency in their goals to save wildlife and habitats through conservation, research, and educational experiences.

But they still do have a pretty epic legacy: if you grew up in (Metro) Atlanta, then you’ve definitely heard of Willie B, as well as their giant pandas. The proceeds from the Beastly Feast benefit Zoo Atlanta’s educational programming and global conservation efforts.

The Event

What a great title! The Beastly Feast is black-tie optional gala that begins outside with a sunset stroll through Zoo Atlanta. Dinner is then served under the Grand Pavilion tent, and because of the presence of alcohol and formal nature of the night, it’s an adults-only event. Select animal habitats are open, and Keeper Talks occur throughout the evening.

You can reserve your seats to the Beastly Feast here.
